Construction Site Falls
When It Matters Most, We’ll Be There for You
Working at a construction site can be very dangerous. It’s important that safety standards be implemented in order to minimize the risk of accidents. However, even if safety regulations are developed, construction workers can still suffer serious personal injury or wrongful death from resulting from falls at a construction site.
Fall Injuries
There are many ways construction site workers can be injured in falls. These include:
- Falls from scaffolding, cranes and other equipment,
- Falls from roofs and ladders,
- Falls down elevator shafts, or
- Falling from buildings under construction.
Devastating Injuries
Regardless of how the accident occurs, construction falls can lead to serious personal injury or death. Injuries can include severe head trauma and brain injury, broken bones, lacerations, and other trauma. Depending upon the severity of the fall, these injuries can be long-lasting and sometimes permanent. Fall injuries can not only affect the ability of the worker to engage in future construction employment, but, in the case of brain injury, can impair the construction worker to carry on a normal life.
