What Is Considered a Burn Injury?
In most cases, a burn injury is considered to be any injury that involves damage to the layers of the skin. The severity of the burn injury will depend on the extent of the damage to the skin and the underlying layers of the skin. - Third-degree burns: These are the most severe burns and involve damage to all of the layers of the skin, as well as the underlying tissues
In some cases, burns can result in damage to the underlying tissues, muscles, and bones, which can cause more severe injuries.
