An ongoing investigation into the fatal crash is in progress.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
The increased force of impact of a head-on collision makes these types of accidents some of the most lethal. When two vehicles collide head-on, there is a nearly 58% chance of fatality. Head-on crashes make up an estimated 2% of reported vehicle collisions but nearly 10% of fatal collisions each year. These types of accidents are fairly rare but can end in fatal injuries, even at low speeds.
