Seattle, WA (April 3, 2021) – An elderly man was killed in a deadly scooter accident in the Seattle area on Friday, April 2.
Local reports revealed that the fatal crash occurred at the 4500 block of Beach Drive SW at around 3:20 p.m. that afternoon. A vehicle was reportedly stopped on the side of the road when the driver attempted a U-turn. The car collided with a 64-year-old scooter rider who was traveling northbound on the roadway.
Despite life-saving measures from emergency responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities. No charges have been filed at this time.
An investigation into the cause of the deadly collision is underway.
