Bellevue, WA – Multiple Injuries in Apartment Fire on NE 11th St

Bellevue, WA (April 16, 2021) – Two people were injured following a fire at an apartment complex in Bellevue on Wednesday, April 16.

Local reports revealed that the fire occurred that night at around 6:30 p.m. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, located at the 11200 block of NE 11th Street. Three people were trapped inside the structure when emergency responders arrived.

A unit’s kitchen reportedly caught fire, starting the blaze. Fortunately, a sprinkler at the complex helped to prevent the flames from spreading to adjacent units. Two people suffered injuries in the fire, with one being hospitalized for treatment.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Apartment Fires in Seattle

Victims of a structure fire are at risk of suffering serious and even life-threatening injuries. Thousands of civilians lose their lives in fires in the United States each year, and fire departments are called to the scene of hundreds of thousands of residential structure fires. A total of 380 people were killed in apartment fires in 2019.

Structure fire victims often find themselves struggling to learn their rights in time to protect themselves after an accident. Generally, most people do not have a complete understanding of state laws, insurance policies, or what procedures to follow after being injured in an apartment fire. Luckily, you do not have to pursue a personal injury claim on your own. An experienced Seattle personal injury attorney can help you pursue a claim and recover compensation for damages, including medical expenses, lost income, and other losses.
