Tacoma, WA (May 6, 2021) - On Sunday, May 2, a man was injured after being involved in a hit-and-run accident in the Tacoma area.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at the corner of Portland Avenue and 25th Street. Local reports revealed that Kevin Mayweather was driving a 2020 sedan when he was struck by a pickup truck near the intersection. First responders were promptly called to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.
The driver of the pickup reportedly left the accident. Mayweather suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized for treatment. Authorities are currently seeking information on the identity of the other driver.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
