Marysville, WA (May 9, 2021) - A fatal pedestrian accident resulted in the death of someone in Marysville on Saturday, May 8.
According to initial reports, the site of the deadly crash was located at the corner of 88th Street NE and State Avenue NE. A pedestrian was reportedly crossing near the intersection when they were hit by an oncoming train. First responders were dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the injured party.
Despite life-saving measures from EMTs, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. At this time, the identity of the deceased victim has not been made public. The area was closed for several hours while investigators and paramedics were present.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is underway.
