Cottage Lake, WA (May 25, 2021) - A car accident in the Cottage Lake area on Monday, May 24, left two people with critical injuries.
Local reports indicated that the crash occurred at the intersection of NE 133rd Street and 206th Avenue NE. Emergency responders were called to the scene of a serious crash injury at around noon. A vehicle traveling on the road slammed into a tree after leaving the roadway.
The driver and passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel. Both reportedly sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The identities of the injured victims have been withheld.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
