Seattle, WA (February 25, 2021) - A pedestrian was killed and a driver critically injured following an accident in the Seattle area on Wednesday, February 24.
The deadly pedestrian accident took place near the intersection of 10th Avenue E. and E. Newton Street at around 9 a.m. that morning. According to local sources, a woman driving a sport-utility vehicle was traveling on 10th Avenue E. when she lost control of the vehicle. She then struck a man and a van near the roadway.
The 66-year-old pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV suffered life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. The identity of the deceased victim has not been revealed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal collision is currently in progress.
