Tacoma, WA (August 11, 2021) - A man was taken into custody in connection with a deadly crash in the Tacoma area on Sunday, August 8.
The fatal accident reportedly took place on S. 72nd Street near Yakima Boulevard. Two vehicles collided at the scene. Emergency responders were dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties.
Two victims were killed in the crash, and the deceased parties were identified as a 63-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman. Another occupant, a 51-year-old, suffered a broken bone due to the crash. The 21-year-old driver of the other vehicle was arrested by local authorities for two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of vehicular assault.
An ongoing investigation is underway.
