Deadly Pedestrian Accidents in Washington
You have legal rights as a pedestrian. Even though pedestrians have the same right to the road as any other driver, automobiles continue to play a role in the high incidence of pedestrian deaths. For a number of reasons, many Seattle residents choose to walk, but data show that this is not always the safest form of transportation.
Pedestrian deaths continue to rise year after year, despite a national reduction in passenger car fatalities. Walkers are a part of life in Seattle, whether you live in the city or out in the country, and drivers have a responsibility to all road users, including pedestrians.
A family member may be entitled to file a wrongful death case against the responsible party if a loved one dies as a result of someone else's negligence. Car accidents, medical negligence, and nursing facility mistreatment are all examples of instances where wrongful death claims might be filed. Getting the remuneration you deserve on your own might be difficult.
In the instance of wrongful death, the victim's family or estate may make a claim for compensation under Washington state law for the damages they have incurred as a result of the death of a family member.
